# Day 4 — Stock footage sameness: why your channel looks like everyone else’s

**Length target:** 7 minutes
**Thumbnail:** Identical drone shots collage. Text: “SAME VIDEO”

## Voiceover script

Open three faceless finance channels. Mute them.
Watch the B-roll. City timelapse. Laptop from above. Handshake. Crypto candle chart. Done.

Audiences aren’t dumb. They feel the template even when they can’t name it.

The internet’s promise was “AI makes unique content at scale.”
What we often get is unique voiceover on identical stock DNA.

For this experiment, every script in week one includes a **visual constraint**: at least one sequence that can’t be bought as a generic clip — a custom diagram, a spreadsheet fill, a screen-recorded tool walkthrough, or a paper prop.

That’s not aesthetics for fun. It’s a retention hypothesis: differentiated visual proof may keep viewers longer than prettier sameness.

If your editing pipeline can’t produce one custom visual per video, you don’t have a media business yet. You have a voiceover attached to a clip store.

## Edit challenge (say it on camera VO)
“This video uses one custom graphic we made for Trend2Truth. If you notice it, comment ‘ledger.’”
