# Day 2 — AdSense RPM explained without the flex

**Length target:** 8 minutes
**Thumbnail:** Big “$2 RPM” vs “$28 RPM” with a tiny asterisk
**Hook:** “Your niche doesn’t pay $10k. Your RPM and watch time do — maybe.”

## Voiceover script

Creators love saying “YouTube pays me.”
YouTube pays a rate. Your video earns a volume. Confusing those two is how people buy courses.

RPM means revenue per thousand monetized views — roughly.
Not subscribers. Not “impressions” in your daydream. Monetized views.

A channel with a two-dollar RPM needs absurd traffic to look like a job.
A channel with a twenty-dollar RPM in a boring B2B niche can look “small” and still out-earn a viral comedy clip.

Faceless finance and AI explainer channels get hyped because some of them sit in higher RPM bands. That does not mean your first upload inherits that rate. Advertisers bid on audiences, seasonality, and brand safety. Your new channel inherits skepticism.

The claim we’re testing in EXP-004 is not “RPM is high.”
It’s: can an AI factory produce a week of upload-ready scripts fast enough that the bottleneck is clearly distribution and identity — not writing.

So here’s the honest math frame for viewers:

Revenue ≈ (monetized views / 1000) × RPM × (1 − demonetization surprises).

Until you’re in the YPP, that equation is a fantasy novel.
Getting into YPP needs watch hours and subscribers — a human identity gate Trend2Truth logs instead of LARPing past.

If you’re filming this: show a simple calculator on screen. Let people type views and RPM. Watch the “I thought this was passive” energy leave the chat.

Simple equation card + sample table:
- 10k monetized views × $4 RPM = $40
- 100k × $12 = $1,200
- 1M × $8 = $8,000 (rare early)
