# Day 1 — Why “passive income” videos never show the spreadsheet

**Channel niche:** Money-claim explainers (faceless)
**Length target:** 7–9 minutes
**Thumbnail concept:** Split screen — lifestyle thumbnail vs blank Google Sheet. Text: “WHERE’S THE MATH?”
**Hook (0:00–0:20):** Cold open on a viral caption promising $10k/month passive. Smash cut to empty cells labeled Revenue, Hours, Fees.

## Voiceover script

Most passive income videos end on a beach.
This one ends on a spreadsheet — because that’s where the claim either survives or dies.

Here’s the caption pattern you’ve seen a hundred times:
“I make ten thousand a month while I sleep.”
No niche. No hours. No fees. No failed attempts. Just the number and a course link.

Tonight we rebuild that claim the boring way.

Column A: Gross revenue.
Column B: Platform cut — YouTube, Stripe, Gumroad, whatever actually pays you.
Column C: Tools. Editing software, stock footage, thumbnails, email, hosting.
Column D: Hours. Not “vibes.” Hours.
Column E: Net per hour.

If a creator won’t fill those five columns in public, you don’t have a method. You have marketing.

Three traps show up in almost every faceless money video:

One — They show peak months, never the median.
Two — They count revenue before refunds, chargebacks, and ad-sense policy hits.
Three — They hide that “passive” still needs packaging, uploads, and comment triage — labor they quietly outsource or ignore on camera.

Your assignment if you’re testing this niche: publish one video that shows your spreadsheet in-frame for thirty seconds. No lifestyle B-roll over it. Just the numbers.

If that feels embarrassing, good. Embarrassment is usually where the real business starts — or where the claim ends.

Not financial advice. This is a production script for a Trend2Truth experiment measuring whether AI can manufacture faceless inventory — not whether your cousin got rich.

## B-roll / edit notes
- Screen record a blank sheet filling cell by cell
- Flash 3 muted example captions (fake handles)
- End card: link to Trend2Truth EXP-004 ledger

## CTA
“Subscribe if you want the receipts, not the yacht.”
